The latest edition of the Galapagos Report was launched in Puerto Ayora, Santa Cruz Island today to an audience of approximately 100 members of the local community, showcasing the printed publication and the new English/Spanish website, www.galapagosreport.org.
GNPD Director Jorge Carrión
The Galapagos Report is a compilation of the latest scientific research in the Galapagos Islands with information, analyses, and recommendations on a variety of issues to inform public policy and conservation management decisions. It includes stories that reflect the efforts of people who work to protect the future of the archipelago, as well as projects that seek to properly assess the natural resources of the Islands — from managing invasive species and plastic pollution to educating youth in conservation fundamentals…and much more.
Attendees and presenters at the launch included Jorge Carrión, Director of the Galapagos National Park, Norman Wray of the Galapagos Governing Council, and GC’s own Ros Cameron.
