In the future, Galapagos Conservancy envisions bringing together experts from Galapagos and around the world every two years to identify new and emerging issues within or directly affecting the Galapagos Islands.

Within a workshop or symposium setting, partners and participants will include a subset of long-term Galapagos stakeholders.  Fields of knowledge that are needed in these workshops include:

  • various science disciplines
  • tourism
  • local government
  • socioeconomics
  • urban planning
  • process facilitation
  • natural resource management

Each workshop will result in a publication with new priority projects defined and potentially developed.
