Galapagos Conservancy works closely with select tourism companies to provide a “bridge” between travelers who wish to support conservation projects in Galapagos and an organization focused solely on delivering those funds to on-the-ground conservation. 

In many cases, funds solicited for projects are sequestered in a fund held by GC and deployed to projects identified jointly by the Travel Company and GC. Projects are often short-term and modest in size and are intended to initiate new programs or to support emerging ideas and organizations in Galapagos.  In these programs, which reflect an appropriate sense of corporate self interest, projects are chosen that have a high public profile, reach deep into the community and enhance civil society, and contribute to a growing conservation consciousness in Galapagos that will serve conservation for the long term.
