Annual Membership

Galapagos Conservancy members play an important role in ensuring the lasting protection of the Galapagos Islands. Whether you have returned from a visit to Galapagos, are planning a trip, or are simply drawn by the scientific importance or natural beauty of the archipelago, we hope you will join us in our work.

With a tax deductible contribution of $25 or more, Friends of Galapagos receive the following benefits:

  • A one-year subscription to “Galapagos News,” our English-language newsletter
  • Galapagos E-News, our bimonthly email newsletter
  • Participation in private lectures and other educational events about Galapagos conservation.

With a gift of $100 or more, we will send you a complimentary plush Lonesome George with our thanks for becoming a member.

Join / Renew

Galapagos Ambassadors

With your gift of $1,000 or more, we will welcome you to the Galapagos Ambassadors Program, which was created in 1999 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the founding of the Charles Darwin Foundation and the Galapagos National Park Service.

Our Galapagos Ambassadors not only understand the complex issues surrounding Galapagos conservation, but are also often willing to become closely and regularly involved in our programs.

Ambassadors receive benefits listed for all preceding levels of support.

  • Española Society – $1,000. Special updates and briefings; invitation to attend special member events in your region; recognition in Annual Report; a special Ambassador welcome gift.
  • Santiago Society – $5,000. A book on Galapagos signed by its author.
  • Fernandina Society – $10,000. A personal visit from Galapagos Conservancy senior staff.
  • Isabela Society – $25,000+ Invitation to Annual Board of Directors reception

Become an Ambassador

Galapagos Legacy Society

While important strides are being made to protect its unique biodiversity and landscapes, The Galapagos Legacy Society is comprised of special friends of Galapagos who have demonstrated their commitment to the long-term conservation of the archipelago by making a planned gift through Galapagos Conservancy.

Members of the Galapagos Legacy Society receive:

  • Recognition in Galapagos Conservancy publications and on a donor wall at the Charles Darwin Research Station in Galapagos (with donor’s permission)
  • An exclusive Galapagos tortoise silver pin, designed by renown Galapagos artist, Jacqueline de Roy
  • Galapagos Conservancy’s Annual Report and other special mailings
  • Invitations to special events
